FAQ:
When should I book my Wedding photographer?
Any
dates book early, but it is highly
unpredictable, please book as early as you can.
And remember, when you book with me your wedding package is locked
in on the date you book no matter how far off your Wedding day may
be. There are no price increases
after hiring Karen, unless you decided to increase to a higher package. You can
upgrade your packages at any time.
What
kind of photographer are you?
I believe that wedding photography should be minimally intrusive. You will rarely even notice me moving around and I am very good at getting those up close and personal photographs without being intrusive.
How much time should I allow for my photography on my wedding day?
I usually suggest a couple of hours after the ceremony before your receptions begins. From my experience, I work quickly at taking traditional photos with the Family first, The Wedding party then I take about an hour to work alone with the bride and groom. Most family and group session it has allowed me to work very quickly to set ups are completed in about 30-40 minutes. All other photographs are captured as the day unfolds and I like to take many candid photographs. In my experience they are the best photographs.
Your prices seem more reasonable than most photographers for weddings.
I like to be competitive as well as I shoot 100% digital. I do not have a studio, I do "on location" events.
What is the quality of your Digital Images?
I take all photographs with my 21 mega pixel camera, therefore giving very
high resolution photographs. I take all the photographs is RAW and then
convert them to JPG for you to have. If you are interested in having the
original photographs in RAW as well as JPEG you need only ask and I would be
happy to give you those photographs as well.
Additionally, digital photography provides a level of creative
control. For example,
any image can be colour, black and white, sepia tone, Black and White
with a touch of colour, special borders, No matter what special effects I ad
to your photographs it never destroys the original image.
Albums included in each package: How do I choose the images?
You will receive a DVD with all your photographs on it with very high
resolution. You will be able to take your time and choose your
photographs you would like printed in your album. You send me your
list and I print them in colour, black & white or sepia, whichever
you choose.
When do you require the balance
package price?
I require the balance prior to me taking any photographs at the wedding.
There are no hidden or extra charges?
My pricing is outlined in your contact. It will remain the same.
What kind of payment do you except?
I will gladly accept your personal cheques or cash.
If
I hire you, who will actually photograph my Wedding?
You hire Karen, no substitutions, no
surprises.
What style of photography do you
shoot?
I like the
photojournalistic style,
however, many couples
still prefer more romantic images as well as many candid photographs. I create a
styles that works for you.
I also like to take photographs as your day unfolds, so that you can have a Wedding day Story from start to finish.
I want your wedding photographs memories to last you a lifetime and for you to be able to share with many generations to come.
How many Weddings do you
photograph in a day?
Once I am hired by you, you have me at your disposal.
By devoting
the day to your Wedding, you can choose when you would like me to start and
finish. I am very flexible and if you should decide you wish to add
on extra hours, just ask and I am happy to assist you.
What
coverage is included in your service?
You tell me when to start and finish on your wedding day. If you
have a special request please let me know, I'm very flexible.
Are there travel or mileage charges?
Working from Toronto, Orangeville, Brampton to Parry Sound it enables me to serve a large part of
Ontario, including
Ontario's smaller communities, cottage country and near north without
mileage or
travel charges.
Please check
the list of cities I usually service on this page. If your area is not listed please check
with me anyways. I
like to travel. I do service all of Ontario but some areas may have travel
charges.
How
many photographs do you take?
I take as many as it takes to
cover your day completely. There is simply no limit
on the number of photos or extra charges for special requests.
My goal is to
tell your Wedding Story moment by moment, start to finish. I do not miss any of
the little details as well.
Do you bring back up
equipment?
I always have additional professional grade
digital cameras with me at every wedding.
This ensures instantly available
back up during every moment of your Wedding Day.
When you choose me to photograph your wedding you don't need to worry about equipment
failure.
Do you shoot black & white, sepia or special effects?
Digital photography permits any image to be black & white, sepia, Black & White with a touch of colour or any special effect.
How long
does it take to receive my pictures?
Your DVDs and proofs will be ready in about 21-30 days.
You get your DVD with all your photographs within a month or less.
Do
I have copy rights to my photographs you have taken?
Yes you have the rights to do as you please with the
photographs. The digital
negatives are very high resolution and they are yours to keep.
If you'd like me to
make prints or albums for you I'll be glad to do
that, however, you're free to have prints or albums made
anywhere you like.
Your digital negatives are edited to adjust lighting, colour and are ready to
print, email or post on the internet.
What makes you different from another photographer?
I give you all the photographs in a very high resolution that you can print your own photographs as well as share them by email, posting them on the internet. They are yours to keep. Many photographers provide only Email quality digital negatives. These are NOT suitable for printing. Please shop and compare.
How to Book Your Date

also reach me by phone at 519.939.7488 or 416.526.7368.
Since I am traveling or working almost constantly Email is preferred so please allow up to 24 hours to return
emails and telephone messages.
If you'd like to meet in person I'll be
glad to do that as my travels take me to your area. Since
most Weddings are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday's, weekday appointments are best.
If that's not convenient, many couples find a scheduled
telephone conference call helpful.
If we're not able to meet in person, or
you're from outside the area, I can email you a contract to sign and return with your
deposit. I'll
be happy to meet with you during your engagement photo shoot or at any future date that our schedules will
permit.
Terms
A deposit of a maximum of $500 or 50% will hold your wedding date for you. The balance is due on your Wedding day
prior to me taking any photographs.
A few conditions apply.

Deposit is non-refundable, however, should you need to reschedule I'll give full credit for another available date. If the date is unavailable the deposit is non-refundable. I leave a few dates open for just this purpose, however, please plan carefully. |

Since I only photograph one Wedding per day, I only accept packaged Weddings. I do offer my service by the hour on Mondays to Thursday only. |
Cottage Country Weddings
I also provide service throughout Ontario's Cottage Country, Georgian Bay and Parry Sound with no travel charge. Please call or email to discuss your plans
Short Notice Weddings
While cancellations are rare, I sometimes have dates that become available last minute. If you need a Wedding Photographer for your short notice Wedding please give me a call or Email me, I may be able to accommodate you!
Winter Wedding?
I provide Wedding Photography services all year round. When weather requires that we work inside I bring portable studio equipment, including portable studio lighting, backdrops and props to enhance your indoor Wedding photos. I also do Destination weddings as well, call or email me for additional information.
Upgrade your package
Your price is guaranteed. If I change my packages or services after you book your Wedding you will always have the choice of keeping your existing package or upgrade to my new packages.
